Jamaican by descent, founder and MD of Island Delight Wade Lyn got his enthusiasm and love for Caribbean cuisine from his mother.

Back in 1988 it became clear to him that British consumers were looking for new taste experiences. Increased travel to more exotic locations raised expectations of food and there was nothing available to meet those needs. With this in mind he established Cleone Foods and launched the Island Delight brand with the sole mission to bring some of the most popular dishes in the Caribbean to British consumers.

Thanks to the continued and growing enthusiasm for Caribbean food, Island Delight has experienced outstanding growth. Island Delight’s patties now enjoy nationwide distribution reaching an ever wider, mainstream audience. Today Island Delight boasts a seven strong range of Caribbean patties. The coming months will see Island Delight add to its range some new and exciting taste sensations, so watch this space…
